Turismo de Portugal I.P (Portugal), Ecotourism Trust (India), Tryponyu (Indonesia) and SEGGITUR (Spain) are the winners of the 14th Edition of the UNWTO Awards for Innovation in Tourism. Fourteen projects among 128 applicants from 55 countries were selected as finalists of the 14th UNWTO Premis a la Innovació Turística.
Els projectes guanyadors, dividits en quatre categories –Política pública i governança, Recerca i tecnologia, Empreses i Organitzacions no governamentals–, s'han anunciat a la UNWTO Awards Ceremony held tonight in Madrid at the International Tourism Trade Fair in Spain (FITUR).
“Today we honor the vision and commitment of individuals, administrations, companies and organizations that every day build a better future by harnessing the potential of tourism. The work of all the finalists of the 14 UNWTO Els premis a la innovació són una inspiració per a tots nosaltres”, va subratllar UNWTO El secretari general, Zurab Pololikashvili, en el seu discurs d'obertura.
Amb la participació de prop de 500 participants de diferents països, el UNWTO La cerimònia de lliurament de premis, coorganitzada per IFEMA|FITUR, va destacar com la comunitat turística ha adoptat enfocaments sostenibles i innovadors.
El UNWTO Els Premis a l'Excel·lència i la Innovació en Turisme es celebren anualment per destacar i promoure el treball d'organitzacions i persones d'arreu del món que han impactat el sector turístic. Els seus èxits han servit d'inspiració per al desenvolupament del turisme competitiu i sostenible i la promoció dels valors del UNWTO Codi Global d'Ètica per al Turisme i els Objectius de Desenvolupament Sostenible.
