POWER-GEN Middle East 2009 will see gathering of the power and water industry

With just a few weeks before the opening of POWER-GEN Middle East, final preparations are being made to receive the power and water industry experts and professionals of the Middle East at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from February 17-19, 2009.

POWER-GEN Middle East is the region’s premier conference and exhibition for the power generation, as well as transmission, distribution, and water industries and is expected to be well attended by those wanting to update their knowledge and skills and see the latest industry developments and technologies.

An excellent line-up of speakers and industry professionals will deliver presentations on a range of topics and subjects covering the power and water industries, including spotlights on countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, and Bahrain. A keynote presentation will be given by Dr. Fatih Birol, chief economist of the Paris-based International Energy Agency.

The conference offers three tracks discussing strategic power, technical power, and water industry-related topics. A special plenary panel session will bring together industry experts to take a look at the last decade of power and water privatization in the region and draw out lessons for the future.
