Drogues canadencs de viatges actius ara a l’Everest per establir el rècord mundial Guinness

Canadian Thuymi and Australian Mitch make up the active travel duo of AdventureFaktory.com and alongside the crew at HartRate Fitness in London, are about to embark on a world record of the highest proportions.

“On December 29th, our team will attempt to set the World Guinness Records for the world’s highest altitude fitness class. The class will be held at Mt Everest Base Camp, which we are currently trekking, at a staggering height of 5340m, which is over 9 times the CN Tower in height! (Fun fact)

It will be a HITT session and will prove to be very difficult at this altitude.

We began our world record hike on the 19th from Kathmandu and flying into the most dangerous airport in the world at Lukla. We will commence the trekking from here and make our way through Nepalese villages on our way to base camp.

There will be rockfalls, below zero temperatures, suspension bridges hundreds of meters in the air and the consistent risk of altitude sickness always present. While facing the elements on the trek, we will be also be stopping in to rural communities and helping by going in to the schools for the day and teaching young kids about some of our world experiences.

We are working in conjunction with a charity called CAIRN, a foundation built specifically to develop the rural school system in Nepal.”
